Follow-up Tasks
Every prospect has a Tasks tab where you can schedule follow-ups. Think of it as a simple to-do list tied to each person.
When to use tasks
- After a viewing - "Follow up in 2 days to see what they thought"
- When a prospect goes quiet mid-conversation - "Check in next Monday"
- When you promise to send something - "Send the Orchard Rd floor plan by Friday"
- When a prospect asks to be contacted later - "Call back on the 15th"
Creating a task
- Open a prospect
- Click the Tasks tab
- Click + Add task
- Enter a title (e.g. "Follow up about Marina Bay viewing")
- Optionally add a description and pick a due date and time
- Click Create
That's it. The task appears at the top of the list.
Task statuses
Tasks fall into four buckets automatically based on their due date:
- Overdue (red) - Due in the past and still open
- Today (amber) - Due between now and end of day
- Upcoming - Due in the future
- Done - Completed
Marking a task done
Click the checkbox next to any task to mark it complete. Done tasks move to the bottom of the list so your active work stays at the top.
Tip: If you change your mind, click the checkbox again to reopen a done task.
Seeing all your tasks at once
Your Dashboard shows two overview cards:
- Overdue tasks - Everything you missed
- Today + upcoming - Everything coming up
Check the dashboard every morning to plan your day.
Good task hygiene
- Keep titles specific. "Follow up" is too vague. "Follow up about Orchard 3BR viewing" is useful three days later.
- Set real due dates. Tasks without dates never surface as "today" or "overdue".
- Close the loop. Mark tasks done as soon as you complete them. A growing Overdue list is demoralising.
